The application includes many functions including logging scanned documents so that the administrators can manage their workflow; Producing personalized letters to subscribers at various phases during the audit; Provides the ability for clients to create their own unique Word documents which when properly defined to the DEA application, will be personalized just as the stock documents are. The application includes functionality to cause the database to expire at the end of the license period and to limit the number of concurrent audits that may be performed. In addition to LAN access, the database is used by people from San Francisco to London via Citrix. Search form used to locate a particular quote. This application was used to manage the document production process from quote to policy for a major specialty lines insurer. The big problem this application solved was reducing the time frame between the definition of a new product by the underwriting staff to its implementation with the ability to produce all necessary documents. The time frame went from approximately 2 months to less than 1 week. Additional benefits included getting control of over 5,000 documents with the ability to define a new custom document in under an hour. The web based application took weeks/months because it required waiting for an IT support person to define each new document and the definition took several days once it rose to the top of the development queue.
