Building from scratch, modifying, optimizing, normalizing any of MS SQL Server, MySQL, Excel, Access, CSV databases.
The databases that I have structured, for various applications have proved good for over 4-5 years even though a lot of new functionality , data elements and newer reports got added. This has saved a lot of man hours for the clients both in terms of software development cost as well as database modification.

I prefer doing all data manipulation work through stored procedures and functions as it presents the data much faster to the main application than manipulating the data through the application.

Software Skills:	Over the past 11 years, I have worked with various databases and my present skill set includes design of complete database for robust client server, as well as web based applications. I strongly believe that a good database design is one which does NOT have to be modified for at least the next 3-4 years ,I always strive for a balance between the three factors involved with database designing : Minimizing data redundancy, Maintaining data integrity and minimizing the code to be written for manipulating the data. and generating reports.
Additional Skills:	As I have worked as a freelance developer and ISV, for 7 out of these 11 years, I have imbibed strong design practices where I ask the client a lot of questions about his or her business.clients , target markets etc to make sure that nothing gets overlooked while designing the database .

Work Terms

1. Discussions and Scoping of work 2. Success parameters decided and agreed upon before commencement . 3. You accept bid and 50% of bid amount deposited in escrow. 4. For smaller projects (few hrs to 1 week) - 70% payment immediately upon completion, balance 30% in 1 week from completion. 5. For larger (more than one week ) - Prorated weekly payments out of 80% of project amount released at end of each week , balance 20% released after 1 week from completion. 6. Work delivered to be measured against these parameters ONLY.
