Highlights

For ten years I have translated Japanese into English for a number of clients both in the US and Japan. Most of the material with which I've worked has been pop culture, such as comics, animation, and video games. While I welcome the opportunity to work further in this field, I also am interested in more general J->E translation projects, and am willing to take on projects from other specialized fields as well.

Work Terms

I strongly prefer to accept payment for translation work via SafePay Escrow, either by Check, E-check, or Wire Transfer.
My preferred means of communication with a client is via email, but I am also open to using iChat/AIM if that is convenient. Phone calls are also an option, though that's typically my least desirable choice. I generally screen calls while working, so it might prove necessary to begin leaving a message before I pick up. Clients are welcome to contact me with questions, though I would prefer to limit such inquires to a handful a day so as not to cut into productivity.
I work from home when translating, and generally only on weekdays between the hours of 10AM and 6PM EST. While I can be reached outside these hours, email would be the best method of doing so. I cannot guarantee I'll be near my computer outside my customary working hours.
Once a project is completed, I ask that a client leave feedback on my profile. I will gladly do the same for them if they so wish.
