September 1997 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Networking consultant and IT Admin.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
Created an environmental sensor monitoring application in VB which is used and marketed worldwide. Application uses self-created ActiveX components created in VB and C++.
Sends SMTP and MAPI email alerts as well as pages; takes pictures on movement. Provides ability for remote monitoring and data logging. Auto sensor detection and easy setup. Received high ratings and an exceptional review on Tom's Hardware. One application integrates entire line of Watchport line of sensors.
Used in IT departments, human resource departments, healthcare and other various applications around the world.
Developed Autologout, an application which uses a proximity detector and a special method to determine walk-up, walk-by and walk-away events for kiosk usage, etc. Events can trigger user specified reactions such as logging off the user, playing a sound file, triggering a specific screensaver, or running a user specified script/binary file.
Also created MotioNF - my own motion detection ActiveX control to be used in applications to detect motion from a VfW interfaced web cam (can talk to a DirectX cam if a wrapper is included).
Created other ActiveX controls to be used in other various projects including test and debugging utilities.
Familiar with creating Web Sites using current internet technologies including HTML, Java, JavaScript, self-created components, XML, XSL, PHP and some ASP.
Also familiar with creating advanced macros in Microsoft Excel, etc. Familiar with Visual Basic Scripting as well as VBA.
Extensive experience in building, troubleshooting and diagnosing PC's.

| Software Skills: |
I am a Computer Scientist and an inventor. I have been in the PC industry for 14 years. I specialize in designing and coding software solutions for Embedded Systems, M2M, wired and wireless Device Networking, and Remote Access.
The programming languages that I consider myself to be proficient in are: Python, ASP.NET, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, VB and VB.NET, with a special emphasis in HTML and XML (XSL, DOM, SAX, DTD, etc.).
Some industry specific technologies that I specialize in includes, but is not limited to: Web based solutions (including both client and server based Web Services), Serial Port development (RS232 and RS422/485), and XBee / 802.15.4 / ZigBee wireless technology.
Proficient in various software development IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio 6; Visual Studio 20xx; and Eclipse based IDEs.
I also design my own sensors from the ground up, including carefully engineered hardware and layout designs, firmware and PC software solutions in order to create "smart sensors".
I have what I call "Technological Synergism", which I have coined myself to mean "the art of being able to combine multiple technologies into one, in order to create the latest and greatest, ultimate solution". |
