Work Terms
|
I bill at $175-215 per hour depending on the size, complexity, and familiarity of a legal project. I bill my time in six minute incremements so as to provide the client with the clearest sense of the work accomplished. I'm also more than happy to discuss the possibility of doing projects on a flat or capped fee basis. Certain legal projects, such as trademark registration and drafting certain agreements, are usually done for a flat fee.
I work from my business location and out of my client's place of business, depending on what the client prefers.
I generally require the client to provide a reasonable security deposit against anticipated services. The amount of the deposit is usually 50-100% of the expected average billable hours for one month of services or the agreed to flat fee if applicable. The deposit is placed in my client trust account. Upon receipt of my billing statement, the client has the option of instructing me to deduct the balance from the security deposit or to pay me by a check for the balance. I will accept credit card payment through Pay Pal or Guru only.
I strive to maintain a solid line of communication with my clients at all times; I return phone calls and e-mails in a very timely fashion. I'm available to take calls via phone, e-mail, and chat M-F from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. I also generally check my e-mail messages periodically during the weekends and holidays, and I try to make myself reasonably availble after hours.
