Please be advised that I advertise as a service to clients that need a good attorney for a fair price. I will not work for free. My work is worth more than I post, because I am thorough. What I do not know, I will learn--but not at your expense. That being said, when I quote you a fee, I am giving you the most reasonable price for the amount of time that it will take me to do the job, knowing that you cannot afford my regular hourly rates (if you could, you would most likely be working with an established law firm). I love to help small businesses and believe that each entrepreneur, especially at the start-up phases, needs an attorney that can be trusted and who can deliver quality work product to you.
You're paying me to research your legal circumstances in a manner that protects you, singularly, not generically. So that means doing research, drafting contracts, or the documents required to vouchsafe your company. I only work on matters that deal with federal law (international law, intellectual property, contracts between companies from two different states). I don't fill out forms for clients. I do research and provide you with the legal backdrop to allow you to breathe easier.

Legal consulting. I am a former federal government attorney. I have broad conceptual knowledge of many legal issues, inasmuch as I handled issues for prosecutors from around the world and the United States. I am a very strategic thinker, who looks beyond what your initial concern is, to anticipate a long-term solution for problems that could develop down the road. The more complicated the subject matter, the more interested I am, as I like legal research and writing. For individuals with legal issues of any scope, I will advise you that I am an aggressive researcher and perform beyond my client's expectations.
I am not independently wealthy, but I work only part-time as I have other pursuits. I choose to work with clients who really understand quality work, and who are willing to pay for it. I am fair because I always end up putting in long hours but don't charge my clients for each of them.

I am a DC licensed lawyer who doesn't like to practice law the conventional way. What that means is that I don't like litigation (so I do everything for my client to avoid it). I also believe that legal concepts should be explained in a simple-to-understand manner. My client is smarter than me, because he/she knows the subject matter, and I respect that; but my goal is to protect his/her intelligence, comprehensively. The only way I can do that is to do the research required to do so.
