When you contract with someone off-site, especially through the internet, it's often difficult to find real professionals. So often I read on the project descriptions that the project is a re-post because the previously chosen "professional" did not complete the project for whatever reason, now the projects ends up taking twice as much time, and costing three times as much money for the employer.
I try to focus on the smaller jobs, many of my clients have had a site developed off-shore, but they just cant take it the last mile and finish it, or they have a system that needs minor enhancements, or has a super complex problem that no-one can figure out.
I handle all of those scenarios. Many times outsourcing to foreign companies can work, but they usually have a problem finishing it. They say 90% of the work is done in the last 10% of the project, this is really true.
I have consulted in a senior capacity to many large and fortune 500 companies, including IBM, AOL, YAHOO and E-Universe. I have experience in all leading internet technologies including Objective-C (Iphone), ASP/ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server and others.
