| Additional Skills: |
My approach to user experience analysis and usability testing employs a qualitative data driven process and a holistic, qualitative narrative about real users and why they are on the client’s site. The quantitative process includes: - Heuristics: assess key industry-standard norms for navigation, language, layout, and messaging. - Native functionality: ensure the system works on local user devices and computers by testing remotely from users' offices, homes. - Relevance: interview users about their needs, expectations, and how the site is useful for what they need to accomplish now. - Task analysis: define and specifically confirm that a variety of users can achieve desired outcomes, consistent with clients’ specific business goals. - Seamlessness: determine if the user can easily move from web to phone, email, printed materials, other web sites or apps, or otherwise demonstrate that the user experience is not built in optimized silos. - User Experience (UX) Analytics: capture and analyze the behavior and online dynamics of the entire user population, then correlate to the in-depth qualitative discoveries below. Data sets may also include surveys, web metrics, click-paths, and much more.
The qualitative process goes beyond linear tasks, data analysis, and technical functionality. Users don't act in a linear fashion. Their online behavior includes discovery, learning, experimentation, distractions, and individual learning styles |
