Highlights
|
1) Initiated/launched a corporate identity for a nationally-ranked liberal arts college. Conceptualized a logotype for the college; persuaded vice-presidents’ council to not use the college seal as its logo; and applied new logotype/branding to all subsequent college publications. Directed day-to-day introduction of new logotype/branding.
Result: Provided a more consistent brand identity that has enhanced the college’s exposure to its audiences.
2) Overhauled format of college alumni periodical. Determined need to move periodical from tabloid newspaper to magazine format; benchmarked newspaper against alumni periodicals of peer institutions to determine design/publishing standards; devised/published new design in accordance with the new corporate identity.
Result: College now publishes an alumni magazine that evokes increased readership, donations and involvement from alumni and friend audiences.
3) Developed and implemented strategy to provide consistent brand identity with student recruitment campaign. Diagnosed past practices of conducting divergent campaigns/messaging simultaneously; concluded that numerous ‘brands’ led to confusion of message to prospective students; established new policy of designing all recruitment publications to reflect an integrated marketing/branding campaign.
Result: All recruitment publications now have a uniform look and messaging/branding. Entering classes over the past 5-year period boast record enrollment.
