PHOTOGRAPHY: Very rich background in photography enhances design capabilities. Worked as photographer with 4x5, 120 and 35mm systems. Owned and operated small photo studio. Also very skilled in art-direction of photographers, product arrangement, choosing and arranging groups of images, selecting or art-directing photography with subsequent digital manipulation in mind.
IMAGE EDITING/RETOUCHING: Extensive experience with selection, cropping, digital retouching, combining photos, outlining intricate images, applying graphics to objects, generating backgrounds and so on. Can maximize the effect of the images available for a project.
ILLUSTRATION: Have created many product, application, architectural and detail images with traditional tools and on the computer. These include technical images like cutaways, exploded views, floor plans, elevations, maps. Can take raw CAD files to polished images. Also familiar with presentation renderings and models for displays, exhibits, signage.
COPYWRITING: Have developed initial copy concepts as well as finished copy as necessary for brochures, ads and other pieces. Work well with product experts to establish appropriate copy approaches and applications.
