Example one --------------
A major corporation enacted a subsidized computer purchase program in which their 100,000 employees were offered computers and peripherals at bargin prices. The goal was to develop an employee network that facilitated better internal communication.
I was hired to design the look of the collateral material that was to go out to every employee. It consisted of a brochure, price sheet, instruction sheet, partners sheet, and options sheet.
I created an upbeat colorful collateral set that attracted attention and was easy to read and understand. There was a lot of information involved and readability was a priority. I managed the project through printing.
As a follow up, I was asked to convert the collateral to a treatment that could be added to their corporate website.
The program was a big success. 60,000 employees participated.
Example two --------------
For a different kind of ongoing project, Warner/Electra/Atlantic, the record division of Warner Brothers, had me do multiple upsize illustrations (4x4' to 6x6') of pre-release album covers on Masonite. They in turn were placed in Sound Warehouses around the nation to promote the albums.
The challenge was to make the illustrations look like the original album covers. This presented many different painting situations that required a lot of creativity, inguinity, and skill. My main tools were the airbrush and hand brush. I used oil pastel and colored pencil to a lesser degree for minute detail.
The illustrations were a big success.
I did this for a few years until WEA killed the project.
Note: I always stay on deadline!
