Design influences every part of life, a truth that entered my consciousness at a very early age. Good design leaves a feeling of comfort, balance and understanding, while poor design may not only give an unintended message, it can leave a person feeling physically uncomfortable.
Though it is only in recent years that formal design has been a part of my career path, my design skills are a culmination of a lifetime of noticing the colors, patterns, textures, arrangement and balance of the world around me … and then striving to make them better. My career-related design experience includes completion of a wide variety of projects, ranging from newspaper, newsletter and book layout & design to development of a broad range of marketing and fundraising materials. Additionally, graphic design is a favorite pastime of mine, most frequently taking the form of paper and digital scrapbooking. My style is generally very clean, somewhat simple, and balanced, though I also enjoy the challenge of working with other styles. I am known for my attention to accuracy and detail, both visual and grammatical, and I am more than willing to work with my clients until we are both satisfied with the outcome.
