Description:
This was a very special occasion that called for special notification. I designed these invitations using two images of the little boy and random low quality photos from the internet, i.e. the slice of cake, uncle sam's figure, etc. The invitations were almost as big of a hit as the baby's first taste of cake!
I found the inspiration for these invitations from the date of the party and the tradition of letting the baby, on his first birthday, eat his own cake. The parents, for whom I made these memorable invitations, will always have this unforgetable representation of their son's first birthday party.

Description:
This design is for baby shower invitations. The parents wanted the gender of the baby to be a secret, so I used general "baby" images to display the new birth. For the mother, this was an extraordinary time in her life. My design was the front runner in welcoming the new baby into the world.
It was a girl!

Christmas 2008 greeting card

Description:
Christmas cards are representative of the one(s) sending them. These cards were especially symbolic for this family. I was asked to make a design that honored this family's awful loss of their father. Holidays are especially hard for families with absent members, so with this design a little joy was added back into their holiday.
I got my inspiration for the design from a snow day we had here in Louisiana. Snow days are a very rare occurance, and this family tremendously enjoyed that day together. I used traditional Christmas colors with a spot color gold on the cover. The inside of the card displayed a heart felt greeting and a watermark of the deceased father's ski photo.

Band CD cover

Description:
A band came to me with an idea for a CD cover. I tried to design a concept based on their ideas, unfortunately, what I came up with was not what they imagined. Several proofs proved, what sometimes happens, that we were not on the same page.
Finally, as a last resort to make a happy client, I deleted all my work and started with a blank page. I put everything they said out of my mind and just went off my observation of their personalities and music, thus creating their first demo CD cover. My final design was more than they expected and definately out of the box.
To say this was a complicated design is an understatement. Making an image that represents the diverse personalities and ideas of a group was both challenging and rewarding.

Description:
This logo was for a recording studio. The inspiration came from a candleabra in the technicians studio. He didn't realize I took the photograph to use in my design until I showed him the proof. This was one of those designs that just flows. He approved the image on the first try and had no changes.
