I have developed web applications since 1996, and have non-web experience back to the 80s during my time with the US Navy.
Lately, I have been deeply involved in content management systems, and have much experience in this area. Current projects include a large scale CMS system which is in use by over 15 lifesteyle and regional magazine publishers, representing 50+ magazine titles. Examples are in the Links section of my profile.
Additional projects included the creation of a business-directory listing system (thegeoguide) which integrates with the sister-site (magazine site).
This project encompasses numerous modules including calendaring, photo gallery management, e-commerce, subscriptions, etc. I am the chief architect of the application and all of its infrastructure.
In addition to the above, I have managed osCommerce sites as well as Mambo/Joomla sites. I have extensive experience with integration such as Authorize.net and Paypal. If you want an expert who speaks both the language of your website and the language of your company (English) I am your guy.
Lately I have been working a lot with Wordpress. I have re-implemented many static websites into Wordpress, most of which did not want the site to look like a blog. This involved customizing the theme, adding plugins, etc to make the website look like an informational resource/ecommerce site with less emphasis on blogging. This has earned me a tremendous amount of knowledge on Wordpress as a platform.

I perform all work via telecommute. I will sign NDAs and your intellectual property is safe. I have never, EVER stolen any idea from anyone. If you need a webmaster/guru to either maintain your site or upgrade it, build it, enhance it, or just make it happen in full confidence, then I am your man!
I establish long term relationships with most clients and focus on keeping them happy, and their websites up and running.
I accept payments via Paypal or cashiers check. 1099s are the norm.
I have my own server and workstation for development, staging, and demonstration purposes. Code does not go live on your site until you approve it.
