I teach directed innovation and multi-solution creativity. With more than 25 years of mechanical engineering experience over a wide variety of product and manufacturing situations. I feel I can apply my background to your product and manufacturing development. I have had the opportunity to exercise my GE engineering methods in many product and manufacturing programs. I have worked on the Trident Nuclear guidance systems. I have done product design and manufacturing development of micron glass capilitary x-ray optics. I helped develop and
improve manufacturing of cardiac catheter systems. I have designed tooling for MRI magnet production. I have worked with a wide range of materials including metals, glass, ceramics, plastics and the first ever production application of metal matrix composites. I have developed assemble methods for CCD’s. I have used my skills to simultaneously improve quality and reduce cost in GE x-ray systems and Siemens nuclear medical systems resulting in millions of dollars in savings. I have designed and manufactured tooling for water jet and laser cutting which reduced cost and allowed for more complicated use of the machines capabilities. In many of these cases, I managed the technical teams. I have taught many people in directed innovation and directed creativity. I have lead cross functional teams and instructed the teams in the use of new methods using their product lines as real world examples. I have done plastic die design and invented a new compound die which reduced costs. I am an innovator practicing creative design through multiple solutions. How can I help you move forward?
