Highlights
|
I am one of the original, do it all, any industry, APL computer
language application developers from the 1970-80s, when as timesharing
sales professionals we roamed the hallways of Fortune 500 companies
looking for users needing projects finished on time, under budget and
right NOW! Our skills were at a very high level and were a combination
of tech (software), application knowledge (eng., finance, math, O/R),
people skills (we spoke English), and career motivation.
I was Dallas Branch Manager for Scientific Timesharing Corporation
(later becoming STSC, Inc., Manugistics, APL2000, Cognos). This was a
high visibility, fast track and desirable position for only the best.
Clients included Exxon, ARCO, American Airlines, Mary Kay Cosmetics,
Central & Southwest, Dome and various insurance cos. I became an
expert in oil & gas taxation, general ledger accounting systems and
mortgage industry servicing valuation. I was a sales "closer.'
I am famous in the banking industry for my Mortgage Banker's Servicing
Evaluation Model, as owner, licensor and author; used by Wells Fargo,
WaMu, MGIC, GNMA and over 120 institutions.
My skill levels in APL, C++, C# are very high, but even more critical,
I "get" the big picture of large computer applications and all the
management issues of the risks of software projects. I "dream" in code.
I am also an entrepreneur, engineer (Mech., Aero., Structures), PE,
MBA, M. Eng., Ivy, SAT 800, Space Shuttle designer, Lockheed
aerodynamicist.

| Years of Experience: |
35 year(s) |

Master's Degree |

No information provided |
| Additional Skills: |
Top (i.e., world class) APL programmer (APL+Win, Dyalog, APL*Plus, Sharp APL).
Very good in C++ and C# (Microsoft Visual Studio ...)
Learning .NET as I write this.
Medium good in FORTRAN, Basic
Good in AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Photoshop, MathCAD
All basic skills (Excel, Word, Acrobat, FrontPage, etc.)
More important, I am a total 30 year DP professional ... .. been there .... done that .... databases, statistical analysis, tax software, general ledger, web page design, marketing analysis, financial modeling, aeroelastic wing loads on space shuttle reentry.
This means, I "see" how applications should be built and designed. I know what works and what doesn't. This is invaluable experience.
Recent college grads, 1-5 years experience; they don't have this core ability. They may be young and fresh and eager and cheap, but if your project is mission critical and cannot fail, I am your guy.
My current software which I license, Windfall's Mortgage Servicing Evaluation Model, WSMODEL for Windows, is 50,000+ lines of code. I wrote it all. I am responsible for all customer support and making it reliable and bug free. I am responsible for it's Windows GUI. I am responsible for all the discounted cash flow mathematics and Monte Carlo simulation of OAS [option adjusted spread analysis].
There is immense creativity in WSMODEL; anyone can see it.
This more then anything else, is why you must hire me or miss out on real talent. I am, or was, the "go to guy" for hundreds of past clients. |

Work Terms
|
I am available now and will accept projects in the USA at $125 per hour plus $25/hr per diem.
If the project is of a software nature and associated with engineering and requires, in addition to computer language skills, knowledge of engineering math and experience, I require $200/hr plus $25/hr per diem. A good example would be integrating AutoCAD <=> Active-X <=> APL.
If the project is in mortgage and/or bond CMO/MBS/Servicing valuations, I require, as one the the foremost software developers in this field, $300 per hour plus $25/hr per diem. If you are a bank, investment firm or hedge fund and are in financial difficulty because of the mortgage meltdown, I can help a lot, for a price. I bring Windfall's Mortgage Servicing Evaluation Model, WSMODEL for Windows, with me on my laptop. It is also a CMO/MBS/derivatives model for large (loan-by-loan) portfolios.
You may offer a lower salary, say $75 (luke warm interest) or $100 (medium interest, but not thrilled). I may or may not be interested, but this will not guarantee my showing up. I would only consider such positions if they are local (Northern Colorado, Boulder (commutable) and Denver (too far to commute, requires per diem).
