Highlights
|
As an illustrator and painter, I have enjoyed combining the two into more painterly illustrations, and more illustrative paintings, with much in-between. As a painter using traditional mediums, I have been part of several art shows in Austin, TX and beyond, and recently was one of a select few chosen to have work auctioned live for an animal welfare nonprofit organization.
As an illustrator, I enjoy bringing my traditional drawing skills to graphic design projects, including clipart, T-shirt design, and baby shower bingo cards. I have also worked on several children's books. Three books have been published, with one winning a Mother's Choice Award for 2007.

I've worked on a few different free-lance sites and independent contract projects, so I'm accustomed to different guidelines and always happy to be flexible with project pace, payment options, and communication methods.
Unless otherwise specified, my bids always include unlimited sketches and revisions, because I'd rather put in another hour or two than submit a finished project that doesn't quite meet my or the employer's imagined end - especially if it's a personalized illustration. I usually give initial sketches in a variety of styles and media, so that the employer can decide which best matches his/her preferences, even if he/she hadn't thought of all of the options in advance.
I am realistic with time-lines, and if I'm in a busy period, will be honest about my projected completion date so that the employer can decide if it'll work. Once a deadline is set, whether it's 3 days or 3 weeks, I guarantee to meet or beat it, while allowing time for edits.
Phone, email, guru message board, and IM are all fine for communication.
