Highlights
|
The majority of my illustrations tell a story, as well as volunteer the viewer's own imagination to decipher the media. I like to think I invoke more than just a visual stimulus.
The subject's of my artwork vary from simple creatures to detailed settings that invite the viewer to assign either their own anthropomorphisms or relate circumstances and emotions. I believe an illustrator's goal is achieved if the viewer connects with the image, either by association or intrigue, and more importantly without abandoning the seriousness of the media (be it a strategy of extrapolating meaning, advertising a product, or marketing a solution).
In the past, I've worked mostly with other artists - local, independant, and major label musicians, designing CD artwork packaging, promotional gig posters, t-shirt designs, and layouts for their websites. I've also worked with other individuals and entreprenuers, local businesses, and non-profit organizations, designing letterheads, logo/identity, product design, and editorial advertisments.
As an Anthropologist (B.A. from the University of Florida), I strongly believe that aesthetics in marketing, advertising, and traditional media have enormous impacts on socio-cultural revolutions, movements big and small.
