Touched by Armstrong's step on the surface of the Moon I declared myself an Artist that very morning; left my day job as a house painter, left behind my High School teaching degree and I have been making pictures ever since. With many local and national art awards, ski area maps, magazine illustrations, galleries from Maine to California, and a stint in a sign shop its still the "best job in the world".
Twelve years ago I was offered an illustration commission form a local company, which has now grown to a big company, < whitemountainpuzzles.com>, and have created over fifty "posters" that they have made into 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. Subject ranging from flowers to hot rods, animals to creatures, musical instruments to time keepers and many more themes to go. With the offer of many more posters to produce, its still a time to widen the shape and range of things, the people I work with and the professional challenge that is so wonderful about this vocation.

The service offered by Guru for payment through the SafePay Escrow is acceptable to me.
I work out of my studio and ship the finished work to the client. Ranging from a mural to Las Vegas that was 8 feet tall and a basketball court long, to my currant standing client, White Mountain Puzzles of Jackson, NH, having the "poster" of 24 x 30 inches FedEx'd. I have also delivered and installed other large pieces, each case is different.
My work day is usually 9AM to 4PM, Monday to Friday. Telephone, USPS, e-mail and my web site www.ernestobrown.com are my links to the "outside" world. I do not have a scanner or a fax line. I do send digital pictures of the works in progress, its the more flexible system, particularly for sketches and color work that some times need to be agreed upon.
I have a royalty contract with WMP on the sale [ wholesale or retail] of their "works for hire" of the images I have created for the company. Good art makes for good business and we all enjoy the rewards while keeping the up front cost lower. Something I would want to continue in similar situation.
A common title for one of WMPuzzles projects is 300 hours for research and production, a lot of miniature painting for the two inch Hot Rods and the three inch wing span eagle!
I have also had the image photographed by a professional photographer and put on a CD and mailed to the client, who in turns have their graphic people convert it. That is an addition overhead cost passed on to the client.
