Advised and maintained five sites that consisted of Joint Network Nodes, Satellite communications equipment and ancillary equipment worth well over five million dollars. Thirty personnel were utilized and trained as operators and maintainers on system. This job filed became a completely new job field for US Army (25N JNN Operator and Maintainer). Communications was established via fiber optics, co-axial cable or line of sight equipment. This equipment represented the third fielding of this system. Assured that personnel and equipment were maintained at baseline or better performance. Installed and assured high level of operation for CENTRIXS and CMOC (Civil affairs) systems. Established VOIP network infrastructure and operations to allow for NIPR and SIPR (non-secure and secure) communications via Cisco soft phone and VOIP phones across network of over 500 pots and voip phones.

CENTRIXS Network Engineer (C2)
Maintained and expanded multi national forces SECRET network that consisted of forty host countries while deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan. Handled active directories accounts at the domain level as well as complete control over network routers, servers, switches, and Taclane. Designed and implemented new network designs and documentation. Operated as alternate COMSEC custodian and primary courier for operations in country. Assisted with Veritas backups on all servers and worked with SA to assure that installation of Veritas went without incident. Asserted CENTRIXS security policies across the domain that controlled access and general usage of network; this included Solarwinds, Harris Stat scanning, Retina scanning, Etherpeek and using DISA lockdown procedures and methods. Completed projects with military IDMT, IWS, Pathfinder and C2PC server systems. Supervised installation of fiber and copper cabling into new office space, made timely decisions that allowed project flow and completion.

Network Engineer (C4ISR)
Established completely new network infrastructure in the middle of Baghdad, Iraq. This included satellite communications, routing and switching layout. Network security and routing was handled through Fedora Linux and Cisco switches. Developed and implemented an acceptable use policy letter that assured fair and controlled access to corporate network infrastructure. Assured purchases in access of $50,000.00 were completed and proper equipment was provisioned. Implemented a complete Microsoft 2003 server network in separate location to assure a viable network for operations in a forward operating base. Installed and configured Asterisk open source software for the VOIP network. Utilized Linux and Windows operating systems to achieve a deployed network with feature rich options and capabilities.

Network/Space Systems Technician/Field Service Rep (C4ISR)
As an employee with ESP, Corp. in Hawaii worked with a newly fielded multi-million dollar tactical network (C4ISR) USARPAC G6. Assured that all systems were capable of delivering promised performance. A highly tactical system that could be utilized across multiple echelons above brigade, as well as any of the military branches. Worked jointly with DISA, US Space Command, SPAWAR, R-cert and TNOSC operation centers. Installed and maintained Cisco PIX, Websense server and Web cache servers to assure a high level of information assurances. Attended Promina 800 classes for operations and configuration as well as hardware maintenance classes. Use Microsoft Products (Access, Visio, Power point, word, Excel) to complete reports and network diagrams.
Field Service Representative (Mar, 2004- Sept, 2004): Supported 13th signal battalion in Network and Satellite operations in Iraq during Iraqi Freedom II. Handled all aspects of advanced troubleshooting network infrastructure. Advised command staff on procedures to stream line operations and to also incorporate proper technical procedures into a military environment. Advised command staff on purchases of $150,000.00 worth of equipment for VOIP and fiber network upgrades. Networks included ATM, MSE, routing, VOIP (Cisco Call Manager), switching, IDNX (Promina), fiber optic network and satellite components (USC-60, Smart-T, DKET). Instructed personal on proper methodology in trouble shooting and network management to include security and desktop support.
As a secondary service installed and configured a twenty computer cyber-café that was linked via satellite and provided morale and welfare for deployed soldiers.
Space Systems Technician: Assigned to operate and maintain the following satellite components: L3 systems Triband Satellite Terminal 2.4 meter antenna (TST-C, X, Ku), GPS, Bulk encryption, LNA, feed cones, Spectrum Analyzer, modems, E-TSSP, , ACU, KY-57, HPA controllers, fiber access, Pairgain with HDSL access. This system lead to future corporate growth and award of Phoenix projects for ESP, Corp. This system was used to certify other step sites and DISA satellite systems. On average this system was deployed six times a year to support various operations for the military and civilian operations. Worked with L3 to upgrade this system with newer components as well as functional changes to allow weather proofing and hardening of system.
Network Technician: Assigned to operate and maintain the following network (BBN) Components: Avaya switching, Cisco 3640/3620 routers, FCC100, IDS (using Real Secure), Raptor firewall; Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Exchange 2000, Active Directories, Promina 400, 10kw generators, BVTC systems, Taclane (General Dynamics Training), Vantage, KIV-19, KIV-7. Maintained the above equipment as well as integration and cabling down to the pin outs of the cables themselves. Utilized schematics and troubleshooting equipment to test and maintain systems.
As a secondary duty worked as the primary Key Control Custodian and assured that physical control of locks and keys for vehicles and buildings was maintained. Also, assured that networks met DITSCAP, DITYVAP and DISA standards. Attended ISC2 CISSP training, will be sitting test in near future.
Was only technician out of twenty two that was cross trained to operate and maintain both the network and space systems. This added a lot of responsibility and allowed a large learning curve in systems operations.
