Restaurant Consultant with a background in Operations
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management as well as an MBA and have most recently worked as a consultant as part of a successful team for several years. I have worked with independent and franchised foodservice clients around the country and outside of the US.
On the operations side I have held virtually every position through the front of the house, including management ,and also the back of the house reaching the level of Executive Chef. I worked as a caterer for approximately 10 yearsand have helped restaurants launch or improve their catering programs.
After my MBA I was Controller for a restaurant group and then led Business Development for a restaurant accounting firm where I consulted with clients about their back office systems, analysis of their performance, and improvements that could be made.
I brought these experiences together to work as an industry consultant specializing in consumer research, mainly customer surveys, operations and business planning and strategy, marketing planning, and development of operating systems. My seat on the Board of Directors of our city's Restaurant Association keeps me well aware of industry events and news and provides me a large network on resources to draw upon should a project require expertise someone else holds. I have published articles in industry trade journals on topics ranging from restaurant accounting to mystery shopping.
