Highlights

For more than 11 years, I have worked in all aspects of web and mobile development, from planning and graphic design to site building to copywriting, testing, and promotions.
I began my career as web developer for fledgling political organization Bull Moose Republicans. After joining the board of directors of the organization and being promoted to Director of Information Technology, I founded my own internet consulting firm, Clarke Creative Group.
As owner of Clarke Creative Group, I helped bloggers, authors and entrepreneurs build websites and online marketing strategies. My clients included a roster of top bloggers and best-selling authors, whom I helped with website planning & design, implementation, and online marketing strategies.
I also built and managed my own highly-successful weblog, Moorelies.com, earning 5mm uniques in just two years. The blog spawned my best-selling non-fiction book, 'Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Stupid White Man'.
In 2005 I closed my firm and joined RainStorm Consulting, where I overhauled the company's development platform, implemented standards-compliant design practices, and implemented changes resulting in increased revenue. During this time, I re-opened my freelance practice, becoming a WordPress expert along the way while continuing to help people promote themselves online.

Work Terms

Availability: I prefer to communicate via email. I am available via email M-F 8am-6pm and generally reply within 2 hours or less. I am available to talk via phone, but only by appointment.
I do my work from 6pm-12pm EASTERN time. I live on the east coast of the United States.
Payments/billing: For larger projects (generally 2.5 hours or more), I bill flat-rate with 25% up-front and 75% upon completion of the project. For longer projects, I may request a supplementary 25% payment in the middle of the project.
For smaller projects (generally 2 hours or less) I bill 50% up-front and 50% upon the completion of work.
I accept payment via check (US funds drawn from a US-based bank) or PayPal. I charge a 3% processing fee for payments made via PayPal.
I bill in 30 minute increments.
Guarantees: I submit a written proposal including project scope and billing terms for all work. I honor the terms outlined in the proposal. In some cases, for larger projects, I may require a contract.
Assuming that we are both honoring the terms outlined in the proposal, I will work with clients until they are 100% satisfied and will not accept final payment until the client signifies their satisfaction for the work completed according to the terms of the proposal or contract.
