During my career as an Information Technology professional, I have worked with Mainframes, Client Servers, and Personal Computers. Lately, I have concentrated my efforts in developing PC-based applications for not-for-profit organizations, small businesses and corporate departments (departmental computing). Since 1987, I have worked as a consultant for medium-to-large consulting firms and as an independent contractor. Before that I worked for IBM as a systems engineer and for AT&T Bell Laboratories (now Lucent Technologies) as a project coordinator for a combined fifteen years. In between, I managed a technical services department for ESE, a subsidiary of Esmark, for five years. Over the years, I have focused on project management, relational database analysis & design, system/application analysis & design, programming, assessment of emerging technologies and teaching (Assembler, Java, etc.), and man/machine interface (GUI). My interpersonal skills include interviewing users, sales, and marketing personnel, conducting seminars and user training classes, and negotiating product requirements. I have held supervisory roles in programming and support environments, and I have led JAD sessions aimed at business process improvement. My broad technical background has been applied in numerous industries including Federal/State Governments, Health Care, Oil & Gas, Retail Distribution, Manufacturing, etc.

Work Terms

• Payment Method:
I prefer to transact business with employers who agree to the Escrow service through SafePay. I will accept payment by Check, E-check, or Wire Transfer Funds. I prefer to work Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On out-of-town assignments, I will be available for longer hours based on the project's needs.
