• Rewrote an Order Capture and Provisioning System (currently residing on a mainframe written in a proprietary language and database) to a Windows platform using REXX and an MS-Access database

• Facilitated the decommissioning of a FileMaker Pro database used for tracking work assignments by replacing it with an MS-Access application. This application uses eleven tables, fifteen queries, thirty-six forms including sub-forms, and six reports. I volunteered to take on this responsibility after watching my manager become frustrated with the current database and realizing there was a high cost to maintain it and modify it. My manager and other users of the new application are very pleased as I was able to implement their specific requirements to their satisfaction and increase performance at the same time.

Work Terms

Payment: I prefer payment via SafePay Escrow, but may just invoice for small projects. This will be at my discretion. On occasion, I may need to adjust my fee but will do this only after adequate communication and agreement.

Communication: I prefer email as normal communication. However on large projects, I can be reached by phone and don't mind discussing projects during the eveneings or weekends.

Availability: Since I am currently employed full-time, I am available mostly evenings and weekends. However I normally respond to email throughtout the day.
