Personal As a teenager, developed and patented a design for turf-based athletic shoes.
Of more relevance - developed address book/contact management Access database to learn Office apps- and use it today.
CDM Joined Programming group developing a new financial/project DBMS as part of corporate separation to a fully-owned subsidiary.
Wrote major weekly/monthly project tracking report for new DBMS. Developed reports and user-interfaces, provided tech support.
Moved from Administration side to client side and developed & implemented dBase, Clipper & Access applications. Worked with clients on all phases of projects, from design, development, testing, implementation, training & support.
Returned to Admin side to oversee all major DBMS processing.
Promoted to Manager of Programming, overseeing primary DBMS with over 280 tables and 570 programs.
Managed partial conversion of legacy 1032 program to Oracle versions.
University of Pittsburgh Joined Programming group to convert DEC-10 DBMS to VAX.
Wrote application to convert Fortran program code from Fortran-77 to Vax Fortran, including Host Language Interface calls.
Rewrote over 12 major programs in the native System 1032 PLI from older Fortran/HLI code which improved performance from 30-90%
