Description:
This is a demo of two teams of AI controlled bots playing CTF. Each bot uses a series of AI components I wrote from scratch to give them life.
Steering Component: Allows the bot to seek, flee, arrive, avoid walls, wander and strafe side to side.
Navigation Component: Allows the bot to create paths to opponents and items.
Memory Component: Allows the bot to have a short term memory allowing them to remember opponents positions, whether or not they're carrying a flag , last time they been seen and how long they been out of field of view.
Targeting Component: Is responsible for choosing the bots target
Weapon Component: Utilizes fuzzy logic to determine what weapon to use.
Brain Component: Utilizes fuzzy logic to make decisions and selects an appropriate goal for the bot to use whether it's to grab health, grab ammo, capture flag or recover the flag.
There are four weapons a bot can use shotgun, sniper, rocket launcher and a smg. There is also a health and a sprint buff a bot can pick up if they choose to do so.
