Design and development of a state-wide evidence management system (EMS) used by law enforcement agents to track, maintain, and report evidence associated with cases. Included development of VB6 front end integrated with Java servlet middle-tier through the use of a custom XML-RPC layer (resembling the SOAP specification). Also featured the use of JDBC to connect to an Oracle 8 database.
Development of a system to automate the transfer of state-wide law enforcement data pertaining to gang intelligence to a national search engine. Included the use of VB6 with the Winsock API as well as SQL Server stored procedures.
Integration of Crystal Reports front end with a proprietary time and billing system. Used VB5 and ASP front end to access Crystal Reports on a report server pulling data from SQL Server and Sybase databases containing over 600 tables.
