I am a free-lance computer programmer/analyst and consultant. I currently work from my home office where I can perform telephone consultation (voice and/or fax) and simultaneously dial into my client’s site for hands-on programming and analysis. If necessary, I may be available for travel to my client’s site for face-to-face consultation and/or on-site analysis and programming.

My experience is in IBM S/370/390 (CMOS) mainframes, IBM AS/400 (CISC/RISC) midrange, and IBM PC-compatible microcomputers. I have worked in the computer programming field since 1979, part-time free-lance since 1996, went to full-time free-lance in 1998, then back to part-time free-lance since 2001. The range of programming and analysis services I have to offer covers everything from basic application programming to application system analysis and even operating system programming and web-site design & coding.

I am a self-motivated individual, and a self-starter, who needs little or no direction in order to accomplish any given task. I can multi-task, am perfectionistic, and almost always able to solve my own problems or questions — as long as reference materials are available. Naturally, some of these qualities (e.g., self-starter) are best in an employee, rather than a consultant; however, all of these qualities make my abilities especially valuable to any company who depends upon good, solid programming. I have a special affinity for creating productivity aids and automation tools.
