I am an experienced web developer with a focus in PHP / MySQL / Apache / Linux environments. I write clean and well documented code. I utilize best practices in all technologies I use. I believe in writing code that is only as complicated as it needs to be to meet the requirements of the project. I am not an open source snob. I believe certain tools are best for only certain jobs and certain companies. I do not reinvent the wheel. I believe that in many situations somebody has already done it, done it well, and published their work. At the same time I am not at all afraid to write entire applications from scratch, and in fact this is what I prefer to do when opportunity allows.
