This is the splash screen for a customer management system, for a chain of malls in California. Customers bring their receipts to the concierge desk, where their purchased are entered into the system and they receive one point for each dollar spent.
When a customer reaches a predefined “reward” level (editable with the database), the system automatically alerts the concierge of which reward the customer has earned.

The horse-breeding database was designed to be a full-featured system, but included one rather unique requirement: the client required the ability to see his horses in a standard pedigree-chart format.
From this view, horses can be selected from either the list at left (which moves that horse to the #1 spot) or from the chart itself (which switches to the #1 horse’s detail view, or moves any other horse to the #1 spot).

• Clicking on any term brings up a detail view, for editing definitions and bibliographical references.
• Clicking on any letter across the top will automatically jump to that point in the alphabet, regardless of whether or not any terms actually begin with that letter.
• The Upload and Download buttons allow the user to exchange data with the web-published, SQL system (designed by a colleague).
