1) Design of a Digital Document/Media Asset Library System:
The System consists of two interfaces - a public interface that displays documents, images and video in a user-friendly web page format - with full search capability and multiple skin interfaces.
The admin interface is designed for Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 6 and makes extensive use of the latest versions of JavaScript (JScript) and the DOM (DHTML) in order to bring as many functions as possible to the client-side and reduce server load.
The system was scripted in Coldfusion 5 with a Microsoft SQL Server database. The system makes use of XML/WDDX for storage of data structures, and ties together a number of COM/COM+ objects for additional capabilities (such as built-in image manipulation).
2) Design of a News Release management application, including XML data export to allow other servers to tie in news data on their own sites (Coldfusion/SQL Server).
3) Interactive Kids learning site designed in Flash, in conjunction with a graphic artist. Animations, narration and an interactive map teach children about wildlife.
4) Retro-fitting of webpages to Standards-compliant XHTML, that also meets Section 508 Accessibility Guidelines.
