I approach projects in two ways. If detailed specifications are provided, I make sure I understand them, so that I can create a workable timeline that satisfies the need and allows me time to do the project right.

If, on the other hand, detailed specifications are not available, before the project begins I create a document that takes the place of a specification and shows the employer that I understand what they are going for. I use that document to then create the timeline.

The most important parts of the project are understanding of the objectives and agreement on what will be delivered and how soon it will be delivered. A project that is done with care and in a timely manner will fail if expectations are not met. I use my years of experience to make sure that the result satifies the need.

Software Skills:	I have been developing software with Visual Studio since it came out and with Visual Basic before that, from version 4.0 to the present version. I have worked with MS SQL Server for ten years. My specialty is n-tier descktop application, but I am very comfortable working with ASP.NET to create complex interactive web sites and web services. While most of my experience has been in creating software for the medical field in the form of billing and assessment software, I have worked in POS and other accounting software and have created countless interfaces between systems.
