1) Currently assisting in the design and development of J2EE based middleware for an enterprise loan processing system of a large financial institution as a development team lead. Responsible for the coding and testing of Java classes, Servlets, and EJBs deployed using IBM WebSphere App Server on Sun Solaris e4500 servers. Middleware contains the system's business logic and handles communication/access with back-end legacy systems/services. Leading stress testing effort and performance tuning of middleware components. This system has a nationwide rollout making scability and performance critical success factors. Estimate development effort from business requirements.
2) Modified Windows DLL to remove "segment counters" from wav files stored in Access database. Source code for the DLL was written in C.
3) Researched and provided solution to for displaying characters outside of the ASCII character set in Visual Basic on a system with locale set to English. Application converted Unicode characters to DBCS characters by calling several Windows APIs and applying correct code page and font.
4) Created a Windows DLL prototype using Visual C++. Prototype allowed client's Visual Basic application to utilize a third party vendor's C++ APIs.
5) Assisted in the development of a data warehouse for a large financial institution. Environment consisted of a Oracle DB on a HP-Unix server. Created and modified tables, indexes,and views. Developed and maintained korn shell scripts which controlled weekly DB load and report processes. Wrote SQR programs, SQL scripts, and SQL Loader load programs to load database, manipulate data, and generate reports and interface files.
6) Designed and developed Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) applications for a logistics company. Created Visual Basic applications for the management of transactions, maintenance/administration of an Oracle database.
7) Created small Access DB as a front end application to Oracle DB on Unix server. The Access tables were linked to Oracle tables. Users were able to view reports and perform data manipulation (adding/updating/removing data).
