Designed, developed, and enhanced a client side application that is utilized to perform file uploads, via HTTP, to a web server. The application is integrated into the Microsoft Windows Shell, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Exchange through a client (Outlook) extension, Corel WordPerfect, Hummingbird's DOCS Open, and IManage software. C++, COM/ATL, MFC, WinInet API, MAPI API, and a third party grid control were used to develop this application, as well as JAVA servlets and JSP's on the server side.
Designed, developed, and maintained JAVA servlets, JAVA business objects, and JSP's for a variety of document management web pages. Many of the business objects encapsulated a JDBC
connection to ORACLE 8i tables. The JSP's utilized JavaScript.
Designed and developed the core application processes, three external network interfaces (TCP/IP sockets), shell scripts, Oracle stored procedures, Visual Basic and C++ data generators (used for testing), and an ATL COM control for a multi-platform (DEC Unix and Microsoft NT) phone card application. The Unix side code utilized GNU C++.
Developed several client/server applications that leveraged the use of Visual C++ or Visual Basic. Different database back-ends, such as Access, SQL Server (6.5, 7.0), or Oracle 8.0, were used. The applications covered topics such as oil field back allocation projects, chemical inventory management programs, and an oil field service data warehouse.
Assist and advise clients in Visual C++, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Office application design and development. Projects include standalone applications, client/server applications with Access (Microsoft Jet), SQL Server (ODBC), or proprietary database back ends.
