I have approximately 7 years of avocational experience in web design and development. During the last few years, I have given myself a few projects to do. My most prized project is a PHP/MySQL web application I built for my own personal use. A few features of this web application are: User Authentication, Search, Content Storage/Management, and Personalization. I have also done a couple of small-scale volunteer/freelance projects that involved primarily DHTML(HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). My most recent freelance project also involved PHP/MySQL in addition to DHTML.
I do have some professional experience in web development as well. During 2 of the years at a former place of employment, I maintained a lead role on what was called the Solution Quality Team. My duties were analyzing and writing troubleshooting procedures entered into the knowledge base used by help desk agents, managing and organizing documentation, and inspecting the quality of procedures written by other members of the team. During that time, I gained some professional experience in using basic DHTML web development skills used in designing the troubleshooting procedures. Since January 2004, at my current place of employment, I have gained some experience in writing and running SQL queries. Since August 2004, I have started building further professional experience in C#, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET using a SQL Server 2000 database.
