I am extremely versatile when it comes to software development. Having eleven years of software development and thirteen years of UNIX systems administration under my belt gives me a much broader perspective of not only the software needs of a project, but the hardware and application platform challenges as well.
I am a skilled developer in Java, JSP/Servlet, PHP, Perl, Python and JavaScript. I consider myself most proficient in Java, but I feel that Perl and Python are great tools to keep at the ready for rapid prototyping. PHP helps to round out my web-development skillset when project deadlines preclude the use of JSP/Servlet.
I am heavily experienced in several Java-based applications platforms, including Spring, Tomcat, Struts, Weblogic, and TIBCO BusinessWorks.
I have administered Linux, HP-UX, SGIRIX and Solaris systems at many points throughout my career.
Whatever your database may be (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL), I have and can skillfully integrate it into my work for you.
I follow industry-standard coding practices and am a fervent believer in good unit testing, code and user-level documentation.
I have worked for very well-known (one Fortune 500) corporations in the health insurance and shipping industries, including a stint at a nuclear research facility. I have worked as a consultant in the past as well. |

Payment Method:
As Guru.com advocates, I work through SafePay escrow (at least until I am comfortable with a client). When working through SafePay, I only accept payment by Check, E-check, or Wire Transfer Funds.
Communication:
I prefer to communicate via email or phone at least once every 1-2 days to keep employers up to date on project status.
General Availability:
