Highlights
|
· Served as a programming staff member of the Electronic Filing Department at Drake Software resulting in the best EF year ever in 2007.
· Served as a programming staff member of the Windows Group at Drake Software resulting in the successful migration of the flagship product for MS DOS to a Microsoft Windows based product using Visual Studio/PowerBasic.
· Instrumental in migrating the Drake communications system from a BBS based system to an Internet based system using Visual Studio and later PowerBasic.
· Developed the client software for a state acknowledgement system known as StAck, allowing subscribing states to work with the Drake communications system.
· Developed a communications package in concert with the IRS to expedite file transfers between the IRS and Drake Software using Telnet and FTP, rather than expensive leased lines.
· Developed a shipping program that enabled use of a laser printer rather than a large dot matrix printer, speeding up the process of shipping products to customers by a large margin.
· Developed the continuing education and personnel database for North Carolina EMTs, with a small (3 person) team of local developers.
· Awarded the Army Achievement Medal for developing a military communications system in Microsoft C that saved the U.S. Army $4 million and was combat tested and validated in Operation Desert Storm.
· Currently serve as a PowerBasic beta tester for new product development.
