I focus solely on the needs of your business, and I pride myself on creating practical solutions to address those needs. Unlike many developers, I am not married to any particular technology. I have deep experience in Java, but I am familiar with many languages and technologies and am great at learning independently.

I was trained in the technical details of web technologies at Purdue University, and this training has served me well. I have been designing and developing web applications with database backends since the very early days. I first created a corporate web application in the late 1990s in C using Bluestone Sapphire/Web. Since then, I've moved on to Java and .NET, having designed, developed, and supported web applications written using these technologies.

I worked at Lilly for 6 years, and, while there, I participated in the entire software development process, from initial requirements-gathering meetings with Lilly Discovery Chemists, through deployment and support of a global chemical sample inventory and ordering system.

At ADESA Impact, I supported and was responsible for ongoing development on Impact's public and private web sites, which were already in existence when I arrived. This job required broad skills, including Linux system administration, database maintenance, and software packaging and deployment.

In all cases, my main interest has been, and continues to be, understanding the needs of my customers, and satisfying those needs. Period.
