I have 10 years of Java development experience. I currently work for Kansas State University and am a Senior application developer there. I like to do agile processes with test driven development in which I write tests that if passing meet the requirements for the project before I start writing the code for the project. I have created applications that scale from the database up to the user interface using EJB3 and hibernate. I am familiar with Struts framework, as well as the JSF framework. I have worked on identity management solutions, learning management software, and an application to create and manage the metadata for online courses.
This is currently a part time job for me, but I plan on working with clients to gather clear specifications and requirements, and do many small releases of each feature requested until the software works as specified. If I don't believe something requested can be completed in the time allotted I will let the client know as soon as possible. Source code will be included with the final product.

AVAILABILITY
My working hours will be from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM CST M-F and 9:00 AM to 7 PM CST Sat and Sun. I initially will only take on smaller projects as this for now is a supplement to my main income.
COMMUNICATION
Since my hours will be in the evenings and weekends, I would prefer initial communication via email, and possibly setup a regular phone call meeting a couple times a week depending on the size and scope of the project. I will also be available via instant messaging throughout the day.
