The process I prefer to follow for the project that I work on is as below
- Have kick off call/calls to understand the requirements clearly
- Document the requirement and get your sign off to avoid any confutions
- Create test plan and share with you
- Design the solution and discuss with you if required
- Start build
- Do weekly (or twice a week) demo to you to ensure the progress is going in the right direction ( The requirements are welcome to be changed during the project but could cause change in budget or timeline)
- Complete Build
- Test the software
- Deliver agreed upon deliverable to you
- Get sign off
- Minimum Warrenty support would be available for 2 weeks
