I have worked on a few software projects while at college.
One project was a web-based class scheduler. This allowed a
student to enter the courses he/she needs on a web page from any
Windows, Mac, or Linux machine and the program would generate up
to 25 possible schedules he/she could register for next semester.
This eliminated the wasted time of constantly checking to see if
those sections are filled. The program was written in Java. It
used Tomcat web server and an Oracle database to hold the course
information. The other project was for computer graphics class.
My group and I worked on a racing game for the Linux environment
using C++ and Open Inventor. As well as numerous programs I
wrote for classes that prepared me for those software projects.
Although, this may not seem like much experience,I would like
the opportunity to build my skill working on your projects. I
might be willing to work for half price because the experience I
gain for working for you worth more to me.
