I have over 20 years experience in the technical writing field, writing pieces from blog posts to procedural manuals, to software help files, release notes and video tutorials.
Good, clear writing is essential to each. It doesn't matter whether you are a large software company, small press, or small craft company. I can bring you clear writing, as well as basic, clean layout and design of style sheets for hard copy and PDF files. I can create a simple template for you or follow your existing style guide and templates.

Work Terms

Billing and Payments:
My preferred billing is by project, rather than by hour. This way you can budget more easily because you will know exactly how much your project is going to cost. I strive to make my proposals specific enough that you also know exactly what you will be receiving. Changes to the scope of the project will require a new proposal.
I prefer to use SafePay Escrow for your safety and mine.
Communication:
I prefer to communicate by regularly by email. This ensures that things discussed can be referred to later, and are less likely to be forgotten by either of us. However, in some cases, a phone or Skype call can be substituted (be aware that I will send an email confirming anything discussed by phone or Skype!).
General Availability:
I check my email in the morning, and am available for conferences Wednesday through Friday, 12pm Eastern through 5pm Eastern.
Proposal Modifications and Rewrites:
Terms for Rewrites will be included in any proposal I make. In general, I include one major rewrite and two minor amendments when I construct a proposal.
