I have an exceptional ability to write about almost any subject in an interesting, entertaining way.
I recently wrote 10 booklets for managers at a New York State agency on topics relevant to their work (customer service, change management, etc.). The booklets were intended as a starting point for discussions in a management development program, and they were a huge success. Participants in the program said the booklets gave them fresh insights into how they could develop their skills and grow in their jobs.
I have also written 12 study guides, a video script, and an online learning program to help people prepare for civil service tests. This work was sponsored by a large public employees' union. My study materials have been used by thousands of union members.
For the past 20 years, I have taught business writing classes to adult learners as part of my consulting business. Through that experience I have learned how to add life and interest to what might be a dry, boring topic.
I have written articles for a health newsletter, a union newsletter, and a regional business newspaper. I also have creative writing experience. I recently completed a mystery novel, which I am trying to sell to a publisher.
I also have extensive experience as an editor and proofreader.
