Highlights
|
My name is Ken, and I started Professional Writing Services to advance my career as a professional writer. I produce quality work for a reasonable fee, and can meet tight deadlines.
My career began as a writer for student newspapers in college. Upon graduation, I wrote and edited for community newsletters, professional journals, and literary magazines while living in Chicago. During this time, I became fully fluent with the Chicago Manual of Style and other style guides. I also taught writing at several colleges.
In the early 1990s, I entered the field of Information Technology, and soon found that my writing skills were just as essential as they had been earlier in my career. I quickly became proficient at writing user guides and technical manuals, and as my technical career progressed, my repertoire expanded to include business proposals, use cases, and solution design documents, among others. As I honed my skill at technical writing, I also continued to publish book reviews, articles, and short stories.
I now live in Ohio, and am eager to further expand my writing career. I am interested in a wide range of projects. Whether it’s a book review for a newsletter, a lengthy technical manual containing numerous illustrations and step-by-step instructions, an academic paper requiring extensive research and annotation, an informative but easy to read “how to” guide for a web site – I enjoy meeting the unique challenge presented by each opportunity.

My mission statement is simple: Underpromise and Overdeliver, and to Deliver on what I Promise. I do not bid on projects that I am not 100% certain I can complete, and do not expect payment until my customer is 100% satisfied.
