I have 10 years of web UI development experience. I worked for 9 years in IBM in this capacity and developed great attention to quality and usability. Developing intuitive, highly user-friendly websites is extremely important to me. I worked on large scale applications and so am keenly aware of website efficiency to provide a positive user experience. This gave me plenty of opportunity to learn many web technologies and also how to ascertain and manage user requirements for web applications.
In my personal time, I designed and developed my personal photography portfolio website as well as a film festival website. This gave me the opportunity to learn of the challenges of designing and developing more informational websites versus actionable websites (like e-commerce). I also have provided consultation on various non-profit websites to provide improvement points to the usability of their website.

I need to be able to work a flexible, part-time schedule. Evenings and weekends are generally unavailable. I believe in a balanced life and not having work constantly at hand.

Sometimes phone or face-to-face/skype communication is necessary for effective and/or efficient communication. The frequency of communication is dependent on the needs of a project.
