I own MyVolunteer.com which is a website I took from concept to a site that now has hundreds of visit each month and ranks on the first page of major search engines. I have been employed by major companies in the past as a web developer but have decided to take my skills and use them to benefit others. I blog on the side sharing my knowledge with others via http://webguyguru.blogspot.com and I'm also a big fan of social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

WebGuyGuru Terms, Availability and Rates Information
Payment Terms:
We use escrow for the first project. After the first project, we prefer
Guru's Safe Pay invoicing system. This allows payment by check,
e-check, or wire transfer. Your dollar earns up to 2% back in loyalty
dollars when using these payment methods.
We require 25% payment on commencement of the project, 25% mid-point and then the balance
(50%) on completion. For website development, completion of the project
is when we provide you with a functioning website to your
specifications. This will only vary if the job is particularly large
and we may need to schedule additional progress payments.
As soon as we have received the first payment (50%), we will get started on your project within 24 hours.
Hours of Availability:
Our office hours are 6 am to 7 pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday. I check my email several times each day and on weekends and have access via mobile phone. As a general
rule, messages received after business hours or on weekends will be
answered the next business day. We prefer e-mail but will communicate via phone at beginning of project, mid-point and completion of project if needed.
Rates:
Coding and Database Design Rates per hour--$30.00 - 50.00
Search Engine Optimization -- $50.00 per hour
Blog Post -- $45.00 per hour
Rates per project and other web services can vary depending on scope of project.
All rates are calculated in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change.
