Highlights
|
I am a perfectionist, fast learner, work very fast, and welcome any
feedback from the employer. People have complimented me on the quality
and speed of my work, as well as my communication skills. Redoing
things is not a problem until the customer is satisfied. That is why I
prefer to quote per project--rather than 'milk the hours' I want to
make sure that the job gets done well, no matter how long it takes.
A particular strength of mine is adapting open-source code in PHP/SQL to perform new tasks. For instance, recently I modified Zen Cart to enable a small company to sell tickets to events.
Another strength is my versatility. I am a capable graphic designer and coder, which enables me to oversee and perfect all aspects of a project.
Finally, my biggest strength right now is that my freelance business is a start-up. I'm dedicated to building up my reputation and will offer extremely competitive quotes.

An ideal working environment:
The client provides me with an itemized project proposal. I return an itemized quote with several small provisions and optional features. We meet face to face or schedule a chatting session to iron out the details. I begin to work, providing frequent email updates. The customer is prompt in responding when asked to approve or shoot down features. Conversely, the customer is receptive to my artistic vision (if applicable) and gives me some latitude in terms of integration if the project involves graphics designed by other parties, trusting me to fuse it all together. He or she is willing and able to provide, sometimes at odd hours, all the information needed to complete the project fast and well. At one point, we agree that the original project proposal is fulfilled. I expect full payment. While the payment is en route, we continue to test, debug, and polish the project. We keep working on it until the customer is completely satisfied and stops communicating further requests. If additional features are needed, the customer understands that these would warrant extra payment.
