Information Phase: What is it that you are providing to your Internet users? The information that you provide will make of break your website, this is not something to blame your web designer for. It is however, something that your web designer should fully aware of.

Design and Layout: The second step is to develop a custom graphics interface after a complete sitemap is framed. The flow of information is the most valuable item that any website can contain.

Functionality: Because we know that content is king, there should be no question as to what base functionality features your website should provide. A complete Content Management system for starters and then an administrative backend component.

After integrating these two functions into your graphics template I begin adding all other aspects of functionality to the website. With each new component added to the website, I integrate it with the administration, the template and any other components that it deals with.

Content is King: Now that the website is fully operational it's time to add all of that content we designed the website for. It's this content that will bring the website to life.

Experience: Today, I am the publisher of the Northwest Retirement Magazine, allowing me to develop skills in marketing and demographics that rival your average web designer. Focus: Simplicity in layout, design and goals. I have one focus when I am developing, the bottom-line. When I am developing a website for myself, I am on a budget, why should I treat my clients any differently? My first goal is functionality and then unique traffic flow. As soon as you have a consistent traffic flow your website can begin to generate income. All websites are developed with Search Engine Optimization in mind.

Work Terms

Conference Call: It's impossible to start or finish a new project without a complete understanding. Even though you may have already explained on paper what you are looking for, this will allow you and I to develop a plan of attack.

Starting from Scratch: I am much more effective developing a website from scratch. I prefer large projects such as myspace, ebay, craigslist and other websites that incorporate multiple software pieces integrated to work together seamlessly.

Job Size: Small one to five page websites can be completed in very little time, which end up costing me to much time. I prefer websites with fully operational eCommerce and Internet Community applications.

Payments: I prefer to accept half of the production cost up front and the remainder in monthly installments. I can accept credit card, email invoicing and/or paypal.
