I am truly a rare hybrid of both web developer and web designer. Many developers will tell you they can design, but more often than not their portfolios boast flat, boring and poorly thought out designs. Similarly, many designers offer development services, but don't have a strong enough grasp programming concepts and web technologies to deliver a bug-free, smooth functioning application.

My design experience stems back over 15 years to high school when, by senior year, I spent more than half my school day concentrating on graphic design. My programming experience began shortly after high school when I realized that the internet was not a passing phase. I began with a near obsessive drive to learn HTML, CSS and Javascript, an the rest, as they say is history.

My goal as a developer is to always create fully accessible, intuitive database driven applications with a strong focus on usability and end-user experience. I am a big proponent of the Web 2.0 design style and strive to create applications that reflect my interest as such. My primary focus has been with with developing ecommerce applications, over 20 small to large scale online stores to date, but my portfolio includes realtor and job listing sites, a file upload utility, custom content, photo gallery and user management systems.

I am very easy to work with and complete projects on time, and often times even sooner. You will NEVER have to chase me around for a status update and my rates are extremely competitive.

Development practices include translating layout comps into pixel-perfect, cross-browser compliant functionality.
Additional Skills:	Senior level experience utilizing third party software including Telerik RadControls and Telligent Community Server, as well as integrating with Authorize.net, ePay, FedEx and UPS real-time rate systems. Very strong with SEO with a primary focus on ecommerce sites. Some experience with Java, PHP, MySQL and Flash (actionscript 3.0).

Work Terms

All projects begin with a detailed proposal that will define all of the features of the site, all included costs and a project time-line. Once the proposal has been approved by the client we sign a contract and the work begins.

Payment is typically broken up into three parts: the first third due at contract signing, the second third due once a milestone, defined in the proposal, is reached and the final third prior to launch.

I am extremely professional and very passionate about what I do. A site for you is a portfolio piece for me and I treat every project as such. If you request something I don't agree with or that may end up being hokey, I will let you know and try to come up with an acceptable alternative. In the end, however, you are the client and I am working to please you. If you are not happy with my alternative suggestions than I will gladly complete your original request to a T.
