Highlights
|
I work in sales by day. Because of my training in sales, I understand the importance of timely communication and thorough follow-up.
Web development and programming have my long-time hobbies for years.
I normally develop intranet applications and perform systems integration at work to reduce the amount of effort required in my company's sales process. Our market constantly changes, as do our tools; I write software that collects, transports, and integrates data across multiple operating systems, networks, and 3rd party services and automates many repetitive daily tasks.
When I was younger, I did lots of business on Elance when it was still in its infancy and I have kept my skills in this area up-to-date, but I have been focusing on sales for the last several years both as an income source and for the purpose of learning how to sell and market.
My wife and I are expecting a son soon, and we are planning to buy a house, so I am agressively seeking work in the area of web development and programming once again.
Until I build some feedback and references, I am willing to do work at very competitive rates; I consider that an investment.

I have
been a geek all my life, and I bring a wide repertoire of skills to the
table. Below is an overview of some of the major services I provide:

All my code is clean, well-organized, and self-documented; this way, maintenance and modifications can be accomplished easily.

libraries. Open Source software is a more reliable, more robust,
customizable, and less expensive alternative to proprietary software.
This eliminates licensing costs to the customer, and the customer has
access to well-tested and well-documented source code for future
modifications.
In my work, depending on a particular application, I use a combination of the following programming languages:
- PHP
- Perl
- JavaScript
- C
- Flash
If warranted, I also prefer CakePHP as a rapid application development framework using the tested Object-View-Controller model.
Data
storage, if required by a project, will be implemented via a MySQL
database. This allows for speed, flexibility, and interoperability.
I have resources to rapidly research and implement specific techniques, tools, and approaches, as required by a project. |
